Yesterday, 20th March 2009, was an anniversary between me and him so obviously i made him a cake, either that or a sock creature, i know which i would prefer... Anyway this is a Chocolate and Orange Marble Cake, (yes i had a few oranges that needed using) Nothing too special about it apart from the marble thing, that was a new
one. you make two separate batter mixes, one with cocoa powder, and the other with the orange juice and rind, to make the marble effect you place dollops of the mixes into the tin and then use a skewer to blend one colour into the other. More simple than it looks and great fun! I thought i would add both of these photos, one to show you the final product and one to demonstrate that i am a fan of my own work, ultimatley it was a cake for him, yet who is the firt to tuck into a slice...
